Caribou, Maine – The Maine Medical Center, in conjunction with Tufts University School of Medicine announced their selection of Carl Flynn, MD, a Family Practice Physician with Pines Health Services for the prestigious award as voted by the Maine Track Program Class of 2018.

“We are thrilled that Dr. Flynn has received this recognition from his students. He continually shows his dedication of providing education, compassion and talents as a high quality care provider not only to his students but most importantly to his patients” said Lisa Caron, COO of Pines Health Services. In speaking with Flynn, he shared that he has been involved with the program since its launch of the Maine Track which was around seven years ago. Specifically, the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC) program which is under direction of Dr. Flynn, has been in Caribou for two years.

LIC students participate in the comprehensive care of patients over time, allowing them to develop a learning relationship with the patient and their provider all while meeting the year's core clinical capabilities across multiple disciplines concurrently. This program is open to third year undergraduate medical students who are enrolled in the TUSM-MMC program. “Dr. Flynn is an incredibly kind and dedicated preceptor and director. He is also the ultimate example of how hardworking, affable, and versatile physician becomes a pillar of a community” – Class of 2018 Maine Track Program Students.
