County Native John Nadeau, DO Returns Home To Expand Pines Surgical Services Team

Caribou, Maine – Pines Health Services announced today that Frenchville native, Dr. John Nadeau has joined the professional team of surgeons which includes Dr. Julio Arebalo, Dr. Rashmi Bawa, and Family Nurse Practitioners Lindsay Reynolds and Michelle Deprey.

Dr. Nadeau is a graduate of the University of New England, with his Bachelors in Medical Biology. He received his Osteopathic Medicine Degree from the University Of New England College Of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine and completed his internship and general surgery residency at Mercy Suburban Hospital in Norristown, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Nadeau was a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve providing minor and major trauma surgical care. During his twenty years of military service, he was deployed to Iraq in 2009, Kosovo in 2011, and Afghanistan in 2014. Dr. Nadeau retired from the Army Reserve Medical Corps in 2017.

“Dr. John Nadeau is a great addition to the area’s medical community and to the Pines Surgical Services office located on the Cary Medical Center campus,” said Lisa Caron, Pines Chief Operating Officer. “In addition to his fifteen plus years’ experience in general surgery, Dr. Nadeau was most recently a general surgeon and medical director for a wound care clinic at Southern Maine Health Care, a nationally accredited, award-winning not-for-profit healthcare system offering a comprehensive array of medical care and services in Biddeford, Maine.

Dr. Nadeau will be scheduling surgery and planning cases in cooperation with Pines attending physicians and the highly skilled staff at Cary Medical Center. Office hours may be made by appointment. He began seeing patients at the Pines Surgical Services office the week of April 1st.

In his spare time Dr. Nadeau enjoys playing guitar, outdoor photography and spending time outdoors where he enjoys hunting, fishing and hiking. Dr. Nadeau lives in Caribou with his wife, Ronda.
